how can you tell if you have been hexed?

I have always believed that people who are jealous or envious of you can bring on negative energy towards you,and as results have bad luck emotionally, mentally,and financially. In my hispanic background I also believe there are people that can put a hex on you. Is there a ritual that can be done to distinquish hexed or just negative energy?

The way that I usually do this is by imagining a white light purifying your entire body. You could also ask the archangels for help in doing this, especially Archangel Michael. I'm not entirely sure on how to remove hexes with the wiccan way
