How important are asteroids and "hypothetical" planets in a birth chart?

Well, I know some asteroids are important (also in synastry):

"Planet" Chiron -- is the body that denotes the height in emotions that may turn to become lust or to become a cause for it knowingly or unknowingly/ can also indicate marriage

Asteroid # -- Name -- Meaning

1 -- Ceres -- Mother, nuturing, feeding emotional and physical needs. Taking care of each other

3 -- Juno -- Commited and bonded relationships, marriage, legal ties and protection of rights within the relationship.

16 -- Psyche -- Perseverance of love, connection of a psychic nature, awakening of intuition, soul seeking completion.

433 -- Eros -- Erotic love, sexual or creative revelation that brings two people together to form a lasting transformation.

(the numbers are for those who draw their charts at  very good site by the way/scroll down to the bottom)

In synastry, look for these aspects between partners:

Ceres - Sun
Juno - Venus
Chiron - Venus (or any other planet)
Eros - Psyche

You should observe conjunctions, oppositions, trines between these aspects or from planets to these body's very carefully.

Asteroids

I think as we(astrologers) use them more they will become more important. Especially Chiron. Although I only say that because I'm more familiar with Chiron. There was a time when Pluto was something of a "dumb" note in peoples charts, but as time progressed it started to play a more obvious role. For example I know that both of my children were conceived and born when either transiting Pluto was trining my natal Uranus or transiting Uranus was trining my natal Pluto. I think as we study the asteroids their meaning will become clearer and thus they will become more important in natal charts.

Opps. I think I should add that for most people just learning astrology, it is more important to focus on sign placements  and the planets. By the way what do you mean by hypothetical planets?
