NAVA GRAHAS AND THEIR GAYATHRI MANTRAS

Post by prasanna » Mon May 19, 2008 11:49 pm

The Navagrahas (including Surya) have great importance in Hindu Rituals. They are considered to play a major role in deciding the destiny of man.

All the nine grahams (planets) viz Sun, Moon, Mars, Mercury, Jupiter, Venus, Saturn, Rahu (Snake's head) and Ketu (Snake's tail) give us pleasure and serenity and remove obstacles from our way. The names of the seven bodies (Sun, Moon, Mars, Mercury, Jupiter, Venus, Saturn) are still connected, in some languages, with the seven days of the week.

In astrology, great importance is placed on the positions of the various planets in the twelve constellations of the zodiac, the belt around the sky in which the movements of Sun, Moon and planets are confined.  All astrology is totally based on the planetary movements and its effect on human beings.

DEAR SANDHU BROTHER,

I have been chanting these Navagraha Gayathri and the above slokas, peeda hara sthothras , from  the year 2000 april  till today .  i chant them by hearted without seeing the books

Only by chanting the above given slokas of yours , one can get the blessings of all the 9 grahas, because that one sloka contains  THE PRAYERS OF  all the 9 planets.  I wish to tell u please repost this sloka into our vedic forum  too, i know many   are visiting only  vedic forums  and they  never visit general forums, so we may miss somebody there and many visitng general   may find no time to visit  vedic threads, so i feel it is our respon -sibility   to post them in both.  I did the same earlier, so iam advising   you the same now

with love
yours didi.
