No, can never have enough rune sets lol, stone, wood, glass, crystal, they all feel different and have a different energy too :)

In the lack of information to the contrary, there are three rune set (alphabets, not to be confused with media, as Gem references above, which is fine to have lots of sets in one's possession), namely the Elder and Younger Futhark and the Anglo-Saxon, two of which are considered relevant these days (Elder Futhark and Anglo-Saxon) and one rune set of choice, namely Elder Futhark.  (And I make this statement with very Anglo-Saxon Wessex blood coursing through my veins). For media, let's stick with wood as the media of choice, although whalebone (kinda frowned upon in the modern era), stone and metal (in that order) are historically agreeable choices.
