I was told by a girl in school the other day that I was a fire dragon scorpio.  What does that mean?

It means that by astrology u are Scorpio, but by Chinese astrology u are born in the year of Fire Dragon.

Therefore u are a Fire Dragon Scorpio.

This is the first time i am hearing of this too... i never knew chinese and western was mixed.

No it isn't usually mixed, but some ppl mix it for more broader view of what they are, like instead of just saying our Sun sign, we also say our Moon sign & our Ascendent (or Rising Sun), as it explains more about us. I hope u guys understood by what I am trying to say here.

Some ppl calculate the positions of all planets to get a more clear image of their personality.

I would say everything, that includes, Westren Astrology, Vedic Astrology, ( I mean Sun sign, Moon sig, Ascendent, Position of Planets & the all the interconniectivities & stuff in both type of astrologies), & Chinese Astrology & Numerology.

All this mixed together gives a more clearer image of a person, but it is a veyr big one, & reading & understanding all of them will take lot of time, effort & cash too.

But it is good to read & understand all.
