Payewacker's Tarot - The Hierophant. (5)

Post by Payewacker » Sun Feb 14, 2010 3:44 pm

Hi Guys.

I've done the initial research on the Papal Tiara end the Two crossed keys. Those on the Coat of arms are one gold and one silver.

I will take each term as we go down the article and compile a complete discussion on the terms, so that we don't need to run around from one to the other site. We will see how everything on the card itself corresponds or contradict.

I think you will find this very interesting!

Ok,

Let's start having a look at the Coat of Arms of the Vatican, and Holy see.

Each Pope had his own coat of arms as well, and it changed as they got elected. I attached some of these COA.

It is impossible for us to ascimilate the Pope and the Hierophant, why?

1) The dress code is "reversed", but has some symbolism.
2) Look at the color of the Keys, and those on the Hierophant. "What you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven......." When Christ appointed Peter as the leader of the church, at that time.

I think let us run with this now, and see what we get too!

Blessed be.

Hi Guys,

I thought, as we are discussing the Hierophant, the info on the Tiara also needs to be here:

Triregnum", also called the "tiara" or "triple crown", represents the pope's three functions as "supreme pastor", "supreme teacher" and "supreme priest".

The Pope is also called the Vicar of Peter, who was believed to be the first "Pope" but not really established as fact!!!!!!!!!!!!!! But, also there is no evidence in the Bible to contradict that Christ actually established the "Papacy", but this is another subject as The Papacy shifted seats and was at one stage a "major" centre of corruption, etc, etc.....

Blessed be.

I added a page to the Hierophant.

I've managed to get together many pics.

The interesting thing is that the Popes changed dress code etc, a few times, but certain things remained as has always been customary.

Go to these links to view the pics. We will discuss the symbolism, in a different document, which as I go along will be edited to include new "realization"
