Hot steaming foods and especially soups make my nose run even more than usual, while the mucus is still being drained away.
And it then either goes down into my stomach giving me gas, or alternately drips straight onto the food or soup itself.
Either way it is extremely unpleasant and embarrassing when you are in the company of others.
It does not do any good things for romantic moments of marital passion, to have a nose which drips like a leaky tap.
