Requiem for a Deranged Poet

Post by gryxzl » Sun Oct 10, 2010 11:04 pm

With neither rhyme or reason
I cater to the call
And thrust my mighty ink-stained pen
Upon the parchment wall.

I dabble in the darkness, vexed
And whittle words once wise
And quote the thoughts that I've annexed
Amid my mind's demise.

I can't remember things forgot
When I was but a lad,
When jumbled thoughts ran cold and hot
Zounds! I've gone quite mad.

Ha, ha red as a beet and mad as a hatter!
I know where you are and I know whats the matter!
you lack sincerely mad and neurotic friends.
the kind that will make you laugh so hard you will think you have the bends.
sleep deprivation not withstanding, along with a sugar crash demanding.
you have my complete approval and understanding, and yes I know what to you I am handing.
a tempest in a teacup! a ship of fools with half furled sails.
a whirlwind of half light with the ringing of bells and buckets of blood in several pails.
I join you in the worship of the light that never dies!
the proof is in a pudding its told but insanity never lies.
let the light pour in and be sustained.
and ignore the message if unstained.
lift the voice and shout hurray! the hatter is mad indeed and so is his play. :smt002  love Lorina :smt117  :)

A tisket, a tasket
I'm insane in my basket
Because the mad hatter's said
That I be sick up in my head
And sleep-deprived besides.

I'm living on a sugar high
And I can see the end is nigh
When I shall drift to dream.
My rhyming done,
I've had my fun.
Now am I nutty as I seem?

truly mad is truly wise says the truth that never dies.
what is sane is just veneer.
a house of cards built on hope and fear.
insanity is more the wage, because it cannot be a guide or cage.
what is left when the censor dies.
a whole wide world of endless skies.
so dance with me in a fearless trim.
insanity is always bright in its leeward skim.
in worship of the light that never dies.
one never knows if one never tries.
the path to hell is paved with good intentions.
