Re: Ancient Wisdom
So are you and Karnak both saying that everything that will happen in the future has already happened in the past (and is still happening in the present moment), and therefore there is no point in trying to predict what is going to happen in the future, because it cannot be changed by what you do or do not do to help yourself?joeblaze1199 wrote:The great Karnak says -As all things have been, so shall they ever be!- :smt002
In other words, FATALISM?

Simple
No, not fatalistic. You see, sense the dawn of time NOTHING has truly changed- from the rising of the sun to what we call natural disasters, each life form search's for food and to procreate as we humans do, planets are formed and others destroyed, the very flow of life (COSMIC CREATION included) is as it has ever been and ever shall be! The only change that truly happens is our understanding of life.
But should we just sit back and smile? GOD'S NO!!!!
It's the naturel flow of life for each member of any species to seek to improve its place/position or self to have a BETTER life.
So as the old saying goes- It is better to have tried and failed then never to have tried at all.
Much Love

One other thought.
I DO believe that all that has been, all that is, and all that shall be, exist already, as POSSIBLITIES.
In the GREAT COSMIC MIND everything is merely possibilities, you, me the world as we know it.
One can change the outcome of the future by the actions of today, but one can also change the past as well.
Time is more flexible then we think it to be and that's not even taking into mind the idea of multiple realities based on potential decisions.

Joe,
Thank you for clearing up any misunderstanding I may have had about your intentions for posting this.
I am greatly relieved that you are not into fatalism.
To believe that the future is already set in stone and that nothing you can do will change it must be one of the restrictive and depressing beliefs which anyone could be burdened with.
It takes away any feelings of hope or any motivation for us to improve ourselve, and our life.
Cheers 2U,
