past, present and future

in a three card reading for past present and future, what time period do the  readings/cards cover.

is it like, yesterday, today and tomorrow OR is it a month back, current month and the following month

In my opinion it is usually very general, past is all past, present is no and future is all future. To get more accuracy and a timescale you need to add more cards. Or you can choose and designate the cards, yesterday, today, tomorrow, or last month, this month, next month etc

and in case we do a reading with more cards to get the timescale, what timescale would that represent..weeks or months?

in the way I was taught the "past" "present" and "future" pertain to the question being asked... for example if you're asking about a relationship the past would be the beginning of the relationship and the circumstances that brought you together, the present is what is going on now that you're asking about, and the future is the possible answers if no changes are made in the present... and most readings no matter how many cards hold true for about 3 months...
