Alot of hard work going into all of this software...
I know first hand when it comes to scripts.. I use to do Java scripts for WebTV on talkcity chats. They was IRC.. Up for days on end...lol
I don't miss it though....lol

Hi Everybody,

I am new to MysticBoard  :smt006  and a bit curious about what´s going on here.

However I already face a problem: I have downloaded the MB Free Nakshatra Software and it is a very nice software and I´m sure I would like it very much - if only it would function correctly! But it doesn´t seem to do that.  :smt009

Each time I enter some birth dates it shows a totally wrong Moon Nakshatra! I have been interested in Vedic astrology for some time and I am not unfamiliar with the nakshatras.

So, unless I do something wrong each time I enter the birth dates, there seems to be something wrong with the software. Does it really work correctly when you use it?

Please help me  :smt007

please could you send us more info so we can look into the error...

info like... what are your birth date inputs and what do you get back etc ...

Hi Abhishek,

For example, if I enter the here and now dates (23 April 2007, at 13:57, 013E50, 58N24) I get the Moon in the Chitra nakshatra, while it should be Punarvasu.

In fact, any input dates give me the wrong output. Take, for example, some famous person, like Bob Dylan (24 May 1941, at 21:05, 92W06, 46N47) who gets the Pushya Moon nakshatra, while it should be Krittika. And so forth, no matter what input dates I enter.

Yes, as far as I know, I have  entered the dates correctly and in the given format. For today (8 May, 2007, at 13:57, 013E50, 58N24) I get Shravana while it should be Uttara Ashadha. In this case it is pretty close though. However for tomorrow I get Mula, which was a couple of days ago.

Does it work correctly when you use it?

Sorry, the time I entered for today should be 10:00, not 13:57, though I don´t think it makes any difference.

Just a question.....what date format do you use on your PC

I think this program use MM DD YYYY....many of us use the date format DD MM YYYY....if so then you have put up august as month....just a thought

Well, yes, the program uses the format MM DD YYYY and there is no other option. You have to enter the dates this way and there is no other way...

So, what I´m wondering is: is there anyone out there for whom this program works correctly, that is, gives the right Moon Nakshatra (which today, May 9, should be Shravana)?
