Downloads and Registering

This is a really basic question - I have downloaded several programs on to my main PC and registered all of them.

I would like to add some of the programs to my laptop, so I can look at them away from site.  

Question - would I need to register the newly downloaded versions also?

I guess that I would have to but thought I would check first.

I believe you have to register for every computer or notebook since it's the software keycode only recognize the ID of the computer you registered.
