Payewacker or Cedars...reading please? :)

Post by ammo » Sat Jul 11, 2009 11:37 pm

I'm not sure if I have posted a tarot reading request before  :smt017 or have I? Any how, I would like a tarot card reading in regards to my finances and school. I've always been one to avoid spells and such that would benefit me financially but at the moment  :smt012 lets just say I really need the help especially since I may end up paying such an astronomical amount for tuition. Thanks in advance for your kindness and help.

Hi Ammo,

I'll do a reading for you although you have made requests and received readings on the Psychics reading forum. I will restrict my question to your request and will ask for a reading over the next six months.

The reading given by Mangomom is relatively clear. Please then remember, once this reading is done!!! You close your requests for six months. You've been a wonderfull friend on "Give me a Hug", You should really be gratefull for your wisdom and guidance------Keep it up!

Blessed be
Do as you want, Harm none!

Understood. I asked for a reading on the psychic forum like 2 weeks ago but it wasn't allowed. Sorry if I asked for anything inappropriately. The last thing I'd want to do is violate MB readings rules. My last reading was in early June so I thought it would be ok. Thank you for your kind consideration and again my sincerest apologies. It has been a tumultuous time and I do admit my tendency to get carried away. Many blessings.

Hi Ammo,

Did a reading for you. I used the standard Rider Waite deck and the Celtic Cross spread;

The Significator.
This is a card the reader may want to use to ground the Querent, or understand it as a pivot; all the cards refer to a central point or person.

Page of Pentacles.
A young man or woman, or perhaps a child. With the potential of the King and Queen. This is a young person of obvious refinement, but more sensitive, both in the areas of awareness of others needs and their own vulnerability to get hurt. The direct interest on the Pentacle symbolize the scholar, someone so intent on what he is learning that he or she is less aware of reality and somewhat impractical.

When we look at the Celtic Cross, we see that it comprises ten cards. From one to ten, describes a path the Querent is following. If we look at the implication of one vs. ten, one cannot exist unless it has a defined route, nor can ten exist, unless the route has been followed.

Card 1:
Present influences,
general atmosphere, state of mind, people & other influences now at work.
One can be related to the Magician, it signifies the root force, origin, first spark. In essence, that which started and maintains this reading and how the cards are influenced.

The Star
Wisdom, immortality, spiritual enlightenment. Hope, happiness, intellectual fulfilment. Satisfaction, hope, bright prospects, destiny, insights. Progress toward your goal; understanding to what those goals should be.

Card 2:
Obstacles and blockages,

In representing obstacles, this card indicates people or any forces at work influencing the Querants present circumstances or blockages existing about which the querent may not be aware off.
The twos are related to the High Priestess. As such they indicate duality but, more importantly, they indicate instinctual knowledge. Aces are undirected energy; the twos are, in a sense, the knowledge of what the direction for that energy should take.

The Sun (reversed)
Day to day problems, though happiness remains. Loss of confidence. Frustration. Delayed Success.

Card 3:
This crowns you.
It describes your goals in this matter, and if it will be achieved at this time. This card explains your ideal aim, what you hope to accomplish in this situation and or the best that you can make happen under the circumstances—whether or not it is what you want. It also represents the immediate future, in that which the card describes is still to come.
Ruling over the threes is the Empress, of course, whose card is all about creation. The child in the womb, the seed in the ground. So, with the twos, a choice has been made about what use to put this passion, emotion, brainpower, craft. Now we get the first results of that decision, the initial offspring

Seven of Pentacles (reversed)
You made some bad decisions regarding investments, personal or financial. Success is not always only financial. The full picture of success includes your personal life as well. The false reality you created, gave you an unstable base to start with. It doesn’t help to assess your wellbeing at which you don’t really own. You have loaned or are burdened to such an extend that you should consider creative and alternative means of income.

Card 4:
This is beneath you.

It describes the foundation under discussion; a specific event or different things happening in the immediate past which, because of their influence on you, are the reason, or direct cause of the situation you find yourself in. This card signifies, that which has happened to you and how it changed you. This card also signifies what you can do, to help you reach your final aim or goal.
Fours are ruled by the Emperor. Like both the Emperor and his throne they signify a kind of stability, a holding pattern if you will. For a moment, everything is still, solid, rooted, established. This can be positive, a solid foundation, or negative, something that refuses to budge or change.

Ten of Swords
It is extremely difficult for anyone to really give advice if you have reached this point. This card is the concentration of all that which may go wrong. The fact that we see a sunrise means that you can do something about it, but, it will take time, and very hard work to get all of these things sorted out and hopefully return to some state of normality. The period you are in or may enter will be a life changing experience. If you maintain your inner strength, draw on all your resources, you will make it through. Expect to feel exhausted and defeated. You need to keep focus and not be swayed by circumstances, do whatever you can to heal yourself and keep this experience as a point of reference to protect yourself in future. Even friendships, relationships and partnerships will be unstable and insecure.

Card 5:
This is behind you.

This gives the influence or set of circumstances that is busy happening now and will soon end; the situation which has just passed or is now in passing. In effect, events or circumstances in your past, as shown in the first few cards, created a general personal environment in which you were operating. This environment is now busy changing, either because you took steps to change it, or because some influence is forcing a change. This card is the current from which the Querent is passing away, and it may be the past of the matter. When trying to read the Fives think of the Hierophant. The Hierophant represents a teacher, counselor, or priest, someone who advises people when they're in trouble. Likewise, the Fives are unique cards in that each one seems to pose both a problem and an answer. After four fairly smooth cards of growth and development, the fives represent the fly in the ointment. Instability; the changes that make one humble and allow for growth. Of the question asked of the Hierophant by a troubled supplicant, the problem is real world. The answer, however, appropriate to the Hierophant, is usually spiritual or at least pragmatic. Understand that all Fives temper the Querent - you go through the fire, the low points, the hard times, in order to come out stronger

Three of Pentacles
You have been rumbling on with a project which needs time and dedication. This card shows that you need to stretch yourself a bit, explore those hidden talents and apply all your knowledge and experience to achieve your success. You have reached the first point in your success. It is now that you need to look at the lose ends; bring them together to achieve your ultimate goal. With determination you are moving forward to completion. Putting to practice your creative mind in business is of utmost importance. This first stage of completion and the praise going with it, has boosted you to achieve even greater things - keep up the good work.

Card 6:
This is before you.

This card describes the future influence or set of circumstances you can expect; the change in personal environment that either should (if you are advised what to do) or will (if you go with the flow) take place. The past described by card 5 is giving way to the new situation as a result to the actions you have taken. If the situation in card 5 has been described exactly and a specific timeframe can be added to it, card 5 and 6 can act as timing factor, as that which is described in card 5 timed until now, card 6 can then be applied adding the same time period but into the future. In general readings the timeframe is also general and can be from a few days to 12 months. When asking a specific question, you can include a time period of say within the next two months etc. It is the current coming into action and will operate in the specific matter.
Sixes are balance and harmony, especially after the upsets of the fives. These cards predict a solution, and not just any solution; there will be an exchange, a give and take that results in a new equilibrium. It may not last, but for that moment, everything is stable. With this card, there is an almost "Ah-HA!" of recognition, of understanding in the solution, and more than a little awe at the symmetry achieved by it.

Five of Swords (reversed)
Although you are entering troubled waters, there are still opportunities to ward of defeat, you have resolved your problems for a while, but they aren’t over yet. The possibility of your total destruction will loom over you for some time longer. Take care of your health as you would need to keep your wits together. Be careful of dangerous situations, avoid them as far as possible, you stand a chance for injury or accident.

Card 7:
This is you.

This card represents you. In general it puts you in perspective in terms of the circumstances of the reading. It shows your stance or attitude towards yourself or towards your situation. It also reveals how you are likely to behave or react in this situation. Therefore this card signifies the Querent’s self, his attitude to the matter.
Sevens relate to the Chariot, a card about finding and maintaining complete control and mastery over wild or opposing forces

Strength (reversed)
Weakness (either physical or spiritual),

Card 8:
This is your house.

This card represents your environment, or surroundings, in this situation; that which is going on around you at this time. It shows your effect on people especially those close to you, or closely involved with you, it also shows your general effect on events. More importantly, it shows what kind of effect, other people or events, has on you, what they are doing and how they are reacting and what their intentions are regarding a situation or in these circumstances. Therefore it signifies your house, your environment in the affair—the influence, people and events around you.
We relate the Eights to Strength. Eights are about moving, taking action, as Strength is a card of courage and transformation. It's very easy to let things stay as they are inside yourself or without (though, as the Eights warn, it's easy but damaging). It is much harder to gather up the willpower and mental strength to make a real change. A scary change. Like the Strength card, it is scary to approach that lion, but you can alter the relationship you have with it

The Magician
Whether you think of this card as the Magician or the Juggler, the allegory is the same. Consider that everything in the universe is spread out before God like the objects on the Magicians table, and these elements of creation are tossed by God in the same manner that a Juggler tosses his objects around. The objects themselves are not important to the Magician as individuals. His ability to control and manipulate them is the most important concern to him.

The opportunities to use talents or to learn new skills has been obviated and been at your disposal. This is the second card in the Major Arcanum. The next move from The Fool.  We need to remember, if The Fool is at the beginning of the deck it indicates a spiritual journey, or lessons to be learned. If you consider the Magician to have completed the spiritual journey as the Major Arcanum depicts, you can think that he has all the abilities to control the mundane world with wisdom, and guidance. But sometimes, it is also a personal trap. You may think you are in control but the reality of the situation is that your control is not shared by others and that you may lose power at any time. You need to go through the rest of your spiritual journey to reach a point where you will be enlightened, this point, only you will know. The synthesis being that you need to be at the highest level to attain completion-The World-. Many people have never gone beyond the level of the Magician, the pleasure they derive from controlling people and mundane events, being an overpowering feeling of attainment. The control they have over the mundane has given them a false sense of security and has been their downfall many a time. Being the Magician, in occult teachings a true Magician stands at the centre of the universe, and all things radiate out from him. However he creates, or recreates, the nature of the universe within his mind, which becomes the nature of the universe in fact. So either way, the individual pictured in this card is someone with the ability to control and manipulate people, things and events.

We must also look at the creative side which the Magician has. Although this card is linked to mysticism, we must remember that the Magician stands for creativity. That which is hidden may be made public. This needs to be seen as a development within his imagination. The skill that he applies to realise imaginary visions and projects is based on his own will and self reliance, he can be seen as a controlling force on the four elements, bringing them together, merging all the power to influence his destiny.

If he ventures into the unknown world of occult teaching, without the skills and training needed, his attempts will be clumsy and unfruitful, if not out rightly dangerous. We can safely say that he is at the point where he is practising control over people without the needed judgement and diplomacy. His unskilled actions lead to ruin and disgrace. We must also think that he may be a very dangerous person as he has a lack of self esteem and willing to exploit the weaknesses of those he controls.

Card 9:
This is your house;

This card reveals your inner thoughts about a situation; it shows how you feel about people, events and circumstances surrounding you at this time including your feelings about yourself and your chances of success or failure.
You need to understand 2 things clearly.
First. The card describes how you feel, not what has happened, is happening or will happen. Not everyone’s emotional perspective is always right. Your reaction may be reasonable given the current set of circumstances, but it could also be entirely wrong!!(Not being able to see the forest from the trees).
Second. This card still affects the final outcome, whether your emotional perspective is correct or wrong. As an example, if you have to take action, but is afraid to, how positive or successful the card predicts, a big possibility you will still fail, because you can’t make the change or move
Nine is a card of completion (so is Ten, but we'll get to that). Like the Hermit, who connects to the nines, it is a card where something is finished and the person in turn steps back to look on what he's done, earned, or gained. Nines are among the most powerful cards, usually granting the Querent what it is they, like the Hermit, are seeking

Ace of Wands

Throughout a person’s life, you are presented with opportunities for success, but sometimes these opportunities are sure failures. You are presented with an opportunity to start a new venture. The possibility is that you have been contemplating this move for some time already. It is obvious that you have made your calculations correctly and your plan of action has been investigated thoroughly. A point of interest is that now is the right time to make this move the negative obstacles has had their time and something of the past. Note, that although the idée you have will be successful, there would be no time for you to rest on your laurels. This is all about hard work will be rewarded.

Card 10:
Final outcome.

This is the result. It reveals what will happen or is going to happen; the culmination which will result from the influences shown by all the other cards in the reading. If this card is a Minor Arcana Court Card, it represents a person, who holds the key to the realization of all things predicted.
This is then what will come.
You need to remember one thing, all the previous cards put together creates this outcome, should you not follow the advice, and your final outcome will change.
Consider that life exist around choices you make, sometimes it’s easier to make the correct choice if you know the secrets of the Tarot, so is it also important to remember the choice you make should fit what you want!!! After all you have to live with your mistakes or successes.
As the aces were the pure, elemental spark of the suit, the tens are the element of the suit complete. Not as in the nines, which are physical completion, but in a transcendent fashion. It is the ultimate good or bad of that element. In this card we see attainment as opposed to completion in card 9.

Knight of Pentacles.
A young man with an adventurous spirit. Possesses great potential, but does not fulfill it as yet. A materially minded person, one less likely to look beyond the surface; an adventurer, a gambler. Given a task to perform, he has courage and can be responsible, but is not yet able to set his goals and follow them. If not a person; a departure or arrival; possible discord or quarrels, usually concerning unfulfilled expectations. Investment, new career, new means of income. You are also being told that you could be more than you are if you’d simply settle down and work at it

Three Cards of advice; These cards do not form part of the reading, but relies on the entire reading and only depart advice.
Card 1
Queen of Wands,

An honourable, friendly and intelligent woman. Displays a love of luxury. Sympathetic toward you and someone willing to help with either money or advice or both. A business woman or a woman of property one who knows how to manage her money to the advantage of herself and her family. Economical, serious, a good counsellor. A good time to make your move in an important endeavour, especially one involving business or finance.

Card 2
Two of Pentacles

With this card appearing in your spread, expect troubles in establishing your financial stability. You have the ability to handle more than one project, but, it means that you would have to maintain balance in applying your resources. Understandably, every new project holds the key to your financial success and is inevitably your brain child, the promise of new things and fortune. Expect to suffer the consequence of keeping your project alive by burdening that which you already have. You may also receive, unfavorable messages, possibly legal, whereby you would need to maintain a balancing act. You may be celebrating, but not for long anymore. Don’t force yourself into a tight spot, you need some room to move.

Card 3
Three of Cups.

A strong bond has been or will be created between you and your partner, with this card it’s obvious you are in love. Expect joy happiness and attainment in the future. The business partnerships you entered or may enter may be one where success and victory can be achieved. You and your partner are capable to work together to create a successful future, filled with joy and fulfillment.
Your cards reflects a lot of what has been said by yourself and the reading you received on the other forum. Now, unfortunately this has put a bias in my approach as well.

Conclusion and notes;

The Page of Pentacles as Significator brings to mind an earthy young person, someone also fond of nature. A person, when set on something, may loose a sense of the broader reality, in that sense not being ignorant, but totally focused and so set in doing what they think or perceive what it may be they’re doing, that outside advice tends to be brushed of and “maybe kept in mind” The more positive aspect of this person, is the ability or natural “build in” head for business, or a inherent ability to understand financial matters. However at this stage, that ability has to be developed and your time and effort invested to improve this skill, as you may still make “stupid” mistakes, only because of a lack of training and proper development.

We open your reading with a great card of promise, better prospects and a wonderful future awaiting, but all is not always sunshine and roses, look at what happened in your past (card 4), at that stage you were not in a good place at all, do you agree with me? Fortunately you saw the silver lining on the dark clouds and focused on that. You can see, in your actions then that you were strong enough to push through, take the bulls by the horns, and here we are now. The past a point of remembrance only, a point of reference. That cycle clearly developed your “self” and made you a stronger person. Now, my girl, always remember that time, avoid it from happening again, you know what to do!!!

I had to really think, how on earth can the Sun be an obstacle in your life. Then it dawned upon me, we have two Major Arcanum cards influencing each other. The truth of the matter is very simple in the last key word to the Sun. The Star shows, greater prospects, success etc. Now, the Sun (reversed), merely postpones that which you are striving for and perhaps your goals is not really set or something concrete you’ve decided upon? Maybe there is still a measure of “should I this” or “maybe that” In this sense the Sun is now your obstacle, decide exactly what you want, pursue it with the determination only a Capricorn is capable of.

We now link your third card and see, yes, some mistakes along the way, but, this card is in your near future. Now, you are concerned about your finances, if I had this one in my spread, I will truly be concerned as well. You know the pawpaw and fan effect, consider carefully how you spend your money. As Mangomom indicated, your current job is only but the first step in your success. It seems as your tuition is expensive and a heavy burden, so find something on the side to aid in your financial wellbeing, but, try something which is in your field of interest, practical knowledge is also a way in which you fortify yourself with knowledge.

I’m not going to discuss card four, we have already dealt with that. Not only that, it’s in the past, self-explanatory, and, you did something about it anyway.

Girl, look at the previous cards and look at card 5, you have a born talent for financial matters, please get stuck-in and get going on your career.

This is a must for me to include; I’m surrounded by Capricorns, my house-manager, chef, previous husband and bookkeeper are all Capricorn. Each and every-one of them is meticulous on financial management. So, I don’t think you are the exception!!!! Let me tell you, to the frustration of my bookkeeper, I’m an administrative nightmare; ask no questions, you hear no lies!!!!!!!!.

Now, my girl, card 6 is a different kettle of fish altogether, but it’s said if you have s**t, bake mud cakes. Your health is an issue here, card 7 also indicates physical weakness. These two cards run hand in hand, the only flie in the ointment, card 7 is a Major Arcanum. You have to deal with your health and urgently. Even so, you will have some difficulties. This has also been predicted in card three, please take this warning, and do what you can. Getting to the Magician, I included the full meditatory process on this card, I just thought it important. This card no matter where it is, also stands for you. The least I can add here, is that you, and you alone are the creator of your life. The way in which you approach the constructive processes in your live, is what will be your strength and salvation. Always remember, you create your Universe, do it with mindfulness and seek only that, which is best for you!!!

What do we find in card 9, a good opportunity? Card 10, virtually the same answer. I want to sum-up these two cards in one phrase; THE MORE YOU WANT VICTORY AND SUCCESS, THE EASIER IT BECOMES TO ACHIEVE IT!!!

In the three cards of advice, very simple.
Seek good council, especially now, for you may have a good opportunity which, if you balance your finances and financial application the greater the prospect of happiness and success.

I also drew a Rune as oracle for you;
Rune; Othila (Reversed)
Meaning: Separation—Retreat and Inheritance.

Interpretation. (The book of Runes—Ralph H. Blum)

This is not a time to be bound by old conditioning, old authority. Consider not only what will benefit you but will benefit others, and act according to the light you possess now in your life. Because you may be called upon to undertake a radical departure from old ways, total honesty is required. Otherwise, through negligence or refusal to see clearly, you may cause pain to others and damage yourself.
Adaptability and skillful means are the methods to cultivate at this time. And still you must wait for the Universe to act. Receiving this Rune, remember: WE DO WITHOUT DOING AND EVERYTHING GETS DONE.

I thank you for the opportunity to have done this reading for you, please girl, give me your feedback.

Blessed be
Do as you want, Harm none!

Card 9:
This is your house;

Conclusion and notes;

I also drew a Rune as oracle for you;
Rune; Othila (Reversed)

Thank you so much for this very in detailed reading. You really gave me a clearer insight and helped me better understand not only my circumstances and myself but also those around me. It is true what you say, it seems that indecision has been the deathknell to my career and ultimately my finances. I waited around for a long while trying to muster up the strength to pursue what I am now trying to make my career because I knew how much criticism I would face for it. Even now after I have made that decision I have my concerns but am still going with it. I know that I will have no time to "rest on my laurels" in the very near future. Even now there is hardly any rest but I see it this way, when all is accomplished and well there will be sufficient time to lounge and enjoy life. For now my eye has to be on the ball. Again, thank you so much for sharing your gift with me. Your reading is very much appreciated and taken to heart.
