Re: Difference between Nakshatras

Post by Rohiniranjan » Fri May 11, 2012 10:40 pm

Lunesoleil wrote:Hi all

Like beginning in Vedic astrology and especially the study of the Nakshatras I began by exploring the Dashas relating to the moon which I begin a Rahu period
I just check the Dasha to the Nakshatra of the sun which I would have started a period Saturn 10 years

I ask myself what would be the link between the Dasha of Rahu Moon and that of the Sun Saturn, should be a synthesis? as the two Naskatras associated with the Moon/Rahu and Sun/March

Thank you for your lights
There was a jyotishi named Satyachaarya. He wrote a few books one of which is Satya-jatakam. R. Santhanam produced an english translation, if I recall, many years ago.

Satya's writings, included several new avenues, including the selection of the strongest between ascendant, moon and sun to seed the dasha, instead of using moon as a default seed.

Before you embark on your research project, you may perhaps benefit from reading Satya's book which is quite tiny, just a hundred pages or so and has a lot of other gems too, just like uttarakalamrita and Jyotish Navaneetham etc. Just a suggestion...!

I have tried to distill some of what Satya stated in the primer whose link had been shared and I do not wish to rehash all that here again. That would be disrespectful towards Internet bandwidth! :-)

Rishi_bhai,
What you were asking was not from Uttar-kalamrit!
After the love and respect that you have shown to me, publicly, Chela now over the years having 'aged and ripened to be addressed as dada!' shall do better! The PRIMER needs a revision and must grow larger! Dada has gained a few *pounds* and so must his SCRIBD sharing must!

For there seems to be a lot of confusions, and rightly so! ;-)

When Dada was a teenager or barely out ot that point there was a movie called 'GUDDI'

It had a wonderful and playful sequence and a heart-warming prayer for those of you who love MA Hindi as I always will...

These little bitiyaas know a lot more than we older ones do!

Chelaa, now older and wizened, figured that out! Through REAL LIFE and GROWING-UP...? :smt004

Dear Dada and others too!

Thank you for this u tube watch. A very inspiring song, quite popular...

But, I watched it with interest 'along' with the script.
When the 'Masoom, yet Simple grace of 'young Jaya' (late but dedicated) came/was brought in to the scene, the song/hymn turned into graceful music.

It became Harmony........................

Very much similar to what Jyotish could help us to ACHIEVE.

THANK YOU........gracefully,

Wonderful Dada!

And Thank You for keeping up the music of 'Desh Kaal, Patro'.
Great Knowing that Your Lovely primer would be in tune with that too.

Growth and Change are never constant.

The 'point' is, Rishi, as per my observations..., the mother really infuses her children with 'hope and optimism!'. Fathers can compensate, of course, when the mother is away, busy etc but there is much to be said, astrologically, about the moon being important way beyond any other planet. Afflictions to the moon in charts must be paid close attention to for that is where the true strength lies, at least in Jyotish Reality or Jyotish perspective of Human Experience!

Light and Love,

Light and Love,

Dada,

I see the point now....Hope and optimism!

What is prominent about the moon being afflicted?
Say by Saturn for instance....Or the nodes?! (in terms of 'hope & optimism')

I am serious.

Oh I know that you are serious and sincere! :-)

Moon is the most fickle planet in our astro-realm.
Very few who have moon in kendra escape that *reality*!

How and where they demonstrate their 'fickleness' is what must be explored further, in order to give proper advice. Just the strength and other similar "formula" approaches that Jyotish has become full of will not do! No matter which zodiac or ayanamsha one is married to! :-)

As also where the *strength* of the individual moon comes from or arises out of! Each chart would need to be studied on a 'case-by-case' basis!

Unfortunately, most jyotishis seem to quote ancient scriptures extolling the moon, but when they come down to individual readings, they gloss over the moon!

Particularly, for someone on a spiritual path! It is moon or nothing!!

Pardon me if I sound as if I am preaching! THAT is not my profession or even remote career desire etc <LOL>!

Light, Love, Reality!

Rishi= I thought afflicted mercury, and or afflicted moon was fickle minded.
When both conjunct each other.....ooops!

How and where they demonstrate their 'fickleness' is what must be explored further, in order to give proper advice. Just the strength and other similar "formula" approaches that Jyotish has become full of will not do! No matter which zodiac or ayanamsha one is married to! :-)
Rishi= True! The options are, I think,,(1) its lordship(2) positon (3) its dispositor's position (4) the planet conjunct it (5) its star lord.
Too many things. I would choose the common one intelligently.

As also where the *strength* of the individual moon comes from or arises out of! Each chart would need to be studied on a 'case-by-case' basis!

Rishi=Some feel it safer to hide behind..an armor.

Particularly, for someone on a spiritual path! It is moon or nothing!!
Rishi=Certainly; but should it be afflicted or stressed for such energy?

Pardon me if I sound as if I am preaching! THAT is not my profession or even remote career desire etc <LOL>!
Rishi=Sharing

I have moon in kendra but I am not fickle minded, that for sure. If moon in kendra give a fickleness then why my kendra moon don't make me fickle minded ? my question not for argument, just want to know the astrological ans-ware :)
I see my self that when I decided to do something then I do it until it finish.

You said that "moon in kendra escape that *reality*" --- don't understand, what is escape that *reality* meaning :smt017

What do you understand by the word, 'Fickle'? Let us begin at the beginning...!
