I thought the whole point was that inorder to be reincarnated you had to have a soul?
Animals might be our best friends but souls? - NO WAY.

I found this curious. Why wouldn't they have souls? From a non-athiest..to me I've thought..maybe they have souls to "record" how we treat them, that is if the soul's purpose is to record our lives here, the lessons, pains experienced?
