i wonder if there is really anything called past life. if something like past life really exists, then this life can also be the past life for the next life. is it then, that people have many past life as well as many future lives?

Yes. It's also possible to see future lives sometimes. I keep detailed journals which hopefully I'll be able to retrieve in my next life!
