What is Normal?

Post by happyme » Sun Dec 13, 2009 9:59 am

Is it safe to conclude that the people that arrive at mysticboard are seldom "normal"?  :)

I dont know about anyone else but I know that I have to admit Im not too 'normal' compared to other people my age. Im glad Im not though because society's view of normal can be so boring :].

We manage to live our lives in some form of normalcy.  We can be over sensitive to certain energies.  But on the whole we hold down jobs that feed, clothe and house ourselves and our families.  Just like anyone else, we have our needs and our wants often get addressed too.

As creative beings, if we see ourselves 'outside' the normal then we will reside there and it will certainly be an uncomfortable fit in life.  Perhaps the psychic sensitivities are more normal than we give them credit?  Perhaps these sensitivities are the normal of the changes our world is undergoing?

I am sorry if it came across as unflattering or offensive. I meant unique or special in some way and I am not just talking about psychic abilities, it could also be our religion, or spiritual outlook, or general persectives on life, or anything else. Whatever it is it can cause some of us to feel out of place in our given environment or situation sometimes, and feel happy to feel like we belong to a family or community that connect us in some way for a change. I was just checking if people could relate to those feelings. That was all I was trying to say. :)

Yes spiritalk I am totally aware of that.  :)

At some point in life we all feel out of the flow of society.  It is those times, more than any others, we need to know we can and do connect with a higher power for our existence.

Interesting where our minds go on any given question..........

God bless, J

and couldn't agree more for what spiritalk post here
"At some point in life we all feel out of the flow of society"...

i believe that most people share what people on this board share :D... i, my self not a psychic like the rest of you..  i think that people just don't search for what they share and then feel that the feeling just dying and become empty in the end ^.^

i come to this board to find some answers that i want to know about life

Absolutely! Why limit oneself to what others see, think, or feel? I'm sure most of us here will agree when I say that there's more to EVERYTHING than what is simply 'there' (what most see with their eyes). A simple mind can see anything; a great mind can see what others can't.

Ya but what is normal? Whats normal to one preson may not be normal to another. It's all about beliefs.

It also has to do with how someone is brought up. Some have a very strict upbringing, some don't; some are brought up in religious households, others aren't. There's no true answer to 'what is normal'. Normal, for most, is what that person is accustomed to.
