OK I am new here so if this has been mentioned forgive me. I watch a lot of History channel and other kind of stuff. There are about 4 civilizations that believe that the end of the world will happen on winter solsitice 2011. Chinese and Aztec both have made it very clear that they belive this is the end. I spoke to my astronomy teacher and qas far as he knows it won't come from the sky. It just makes me wonder how these cultures that didn't even know the other exsited were able to pick the same day for it all to end?

The End
To be more specific, the Mayan's predicted January 21, 2012. The Incas, Nostradamus, the Holy Bible, and several other civilations also believe it will be in 2012. I myself can see the possibility with the way things in the world are today based on 10 years ago... makes me glad I've been saved, just in case!
Blessings and Peace...
Re: end of the world?
Is it not the case that, as all things on earth evolve, so does earth? Instead of the world "ending" as they suggest, the axes may shift to create a new earth. This "earth evolution" may, of course, lead to the demise or even extinction of the human race, which is possibly what the ancient civilisations understood better than we do.ravenrose wrote: OK I am new here so if this has been mentioned forgive me. Mad is a word they use to describe those who do not conform to their narrow minded standards of "normality".
