The exact meaning of your dream greatly depends on whether you are actually interested in doing voluntary work at your local school, and specifically if you have already applied for such a position and are waiting to be accepted.

If you are currently waiting to be accepted as a school volunteer this type of dream could either be seen as a sign that your chances of landing the job are well above the 50% expected by chance alone, or and unfortunately I feel that it is much more likely that your dreaming mind is attempting to cheer you up after having previously delivered bad news.

Ask yourself what would be likely to make you feel most happy at the moment. If your answer includes being accepted for a voluntary position at the local school, then this could be the reason why your dreaming consciousness would choose these happy images as a method of raising your spirits.

Or the dream could simply be a nocturnal expression of your own wishful thinking about wanting to work in some way with young children, but lacking the academic qualifications and training which would be required for you to teach kids, and to be paid adequately for doing so.

If you do have any future ambitions to eventually enter the teaching profession, then getting a voluntary position means that you are at the very least moving in the right direction.

Volunteering could also give you valuable experience which could potentially count in your favour if you did ultimately go on to get a paid teaching position. It could in theory give you an edge or advantage over a person who only has the qualifications, but who is seriously lacking in any worthwhile experience in working with children.

Which of the above explanations do you feel is the most plausible, or putting it another way with which of them do you feel most comfortable in interpreting the true meaning of your dream? Such an explanation more often than not tends to be the one which turns out to be closest to the truth.

Sweet dreams,
