Dream of going into labour

Firstly it is important to emphasise that I am a man! I had a dream a couple of nights ago where I was in the shower and I felt a big lump around my stomach and lower abdomen and it looked swollen. I thought... "Its like I'm pregnant.. But I'm a man... But it can happen sometimes... But it won't be..." Anyway I went to bed and started having pains in my lower abdomen and I realised that I was about to give birth... When I woke up I was quite amused and almost kind of a bit sad that it was only a dream!!

The birth is most likely symbolic in some way.  For example if I was a writer and about to finish my first book I might have a dream of giving birth (the creative incubation and development of the story was about to come into being).  From the content I don't see any clues as to what that might be, the shower points to some form of cleansing, but I can't pinpoint anything specific.
