Do You Learn From Your Mistakes?

Post by swetha » Thu Feb 01, 2007 6:59 pm

Lately i have been thinking, that i seem to only learn something after making a mistake...
is it necessary that we only make mistakes and learn? or is it good that we learn frm our mistakes and try not to repeat them again??
just a thought:)

We only learn from mistakes, either our own or someone else's.

I find that usually I learn faster from my own mistakes. But being told not to do something just makes me curious <gg> But someone explaining to me why I shouldn't do something in the first place makes much more sense and I usually listen then lol. When teaching I always try and explain why, and it seems to work :)

I find we learn from only our own mistakes...if we learn at all. How many people have a lesson brought only once? Not too often! LOL All lessons return, sometimes dressed up differently, but the same lessons, until we can move on from that particular lesson.

As I told my mom when I was a teenager "It is my life and I'll make my own mistakes". Boy, did I ever !

I would not listen. My mother was very patient with me and tried to explain her life lessons to me but I was too stupid to listen. One of my son's is just the same. Mom's fault there...she cursed me years ago. "Just wait and see one day you will have children". Whenever I tell her what is going on she listens, sometimes chuckles, and then I remind her of her "curse".

I have often wondered why some people make so many mistakes and don't seem to know what they want (think they do) and yet some young people have so to say things mapped out. They know the direction they are taking.

I know now how my parents felt and what they meant when they said we have done all we can do. :smt003

But you can only learn if you make mistakes.

Don't get annoyed or irritated. You are human being after all and humans are full of mistakes only.

Make mistakes and learn.
Without mistakes you cannot learn anything............

Don't make your life hard. Just try to accept that you are human beinga after all and all human beings do make mistake most of the times.

Regards........

You can't help but learn from each mistake. Every time you make it, you learn a little more. Don't dispare, Star.

Pranay sending chain letters? ....I dislike chain letters because they show how stupid people really are for thinking that they work.
