It is great to see someone taking a serious interest in astrology (jyotish). One thing that can get you some interesting a useful feedback would be to post the charts you are studying with your analysis. Try not to discuss too many things in a single post as people tune out when they are faced with long messages. It is best to have not more than ten to fifteen lines per message of this kind of serious nature :-)

Good luck and hope to see you post along these lines.

What's in your chart?

Post by Gentlesorp » Thu May 31, 2007 12:32 am

I came across a free article at Astrodatabank.com researching the charts of astrologers.  It outlines their research methods, the configurations they tested, and the results of the most likely chart indications of astrologers.  There is also an article on Vedic Astrology if you're interested.  I found it fascinating!

Two other little pieces of info I picked up talking to other Astrologers:
1.  There is what is called the "astrologer's degree":  26Leo and 18Virgo (and their polar opposites).  Look at your chart Rohinaranjan - it has the sun conjunct the astrologer's degree in the 11th house, with the 11th house ruler in 10.  Sounds promising, doesn't it?
2.  There is an arabian part of Astrology:  Ascendant + Mercury - Uranus.
ChanDubai chart:  13Leo53
Rohinaranjan chart:  24Lib25

Watch those two points in natal charts and transits.  I found they were triggered as I was pulled deeper into Astrology.

Have fun with it!
