To find your tarot personality add together the month, day and year of your birth. So if you were born on the 10th July 1900 add 1+0+7+1+9+0+0 = 17 so the personality card is card number 17 The Star

(Note stop adding when the number gets to 22 or below, 22 is The Fool.)

Your post gave me the giggles as I'd just come across this  "formula" in an interesting book called "Tarot Mirrors" by Mary K. Greer.  

Aside from making us smile (which is already a treat) - do you think there's anything to this?   Do you think calculating the personality card might help when doing readings for people we "don't know" - i.e., when giving readings over the Internet?

Nope...if you pass 22 you reduce your numbers from what i remember  23 will give 5  24 will give 6 and so on (X+Y)

I'm assuming if the total of my month, day, and year equals 26 then I reduce it 2+6=8 (Strength)?  It's interesting though because in numerology you obtain a personality number using a different calculation (in my case it's a 2).

I am wondering if I am reading my cards right? Your saying your personality card is 11 Justice, so then that breaks down to 2 the High Priestess. I was told the first number was you soul card and the second was the personality? Is this another depends on who or how you learned from?

From the way i was taught my "soul" card is the Wheel and my Personality card is the Magician.

7+18+1974 would add like..

7+1+8+1+9+7+4=37.

3+7=10.

1+0=1

I have to say for me it is very fitting.

I am wondering if any of you ever added up your birth time as well?

like 4:23AM  4+2+3=8  as a shadow side to the personality card?
I am doing a lot of shadow work as of late and came to this thought.
Anyone else? Again Strength as a Shdow card for me plays out.
