I expected this myticpetcare portal to be informative regarding this issue. Alas it is not so much.

I was very surprised to find that it recommended baths and shampoo, nowadays these methods are thought to be damaging to the coat in favour of a regular natural cleaning method?FairyQueen wrote:I expected this myticpetcare portal to be informative regarding this issue. Alas it is not so much.
A cascade of light shone down on me, then the angels spoke, and set me free,

I found the best stand-alone product I ever got for my cat was a FURminator (brand name de-shedding tool). You brush your cat with it an hour before bathing and then once the cat is entirely dry and they're so clean for a really long time. It cuts way way back on allergies too. She likes to be brushed with it but not to sit still long enough for the whole job is the problem... so you have to hold her still after about 10-20 minutes to finish the job, but it's really easy for me compared to other strategies!
She stays clean for SO long once she's de-shedded, bathed, and de-shedded/brushed again a few hours later. The cat hair doesn't gather in the drain either it's a miracle! LOL!

Treat your pets as people, not objects
Have fun, have faith in yourself and always have the best food!
