What is time?
The whole concept of what time is and is not has always fascinated me, which is why I was especially attracted to your proposition.less than sixty minutes equals less than an hour
Surely at least on the surface, this statement of fact should be self apparent, or self evident.
Since an hour is defined by us as being exactly sixty minutes in length, logically this seems non debatable and unquestionably true.
However since this is in the Poetry and Literature forum I suspect that you are looking below the surface, and that what appears to be an unchallenged truth, may not turn out to be one after all.
The concept of time itself is a completely artificial mental construct by which we are able to make some sense of order in our physical existence, between the moments of our birth and our death ( both of which are also mental constructs).
But Quantum theory and some spiritual teachers have told us that the past, present and future can all coexist simultaneously.
So at at least at the subatomic level as well as to God (see the link below), the above statement would have no meaning.
See "What is God's relationship to time?"
